DUOCUE / PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy Policy

DuoCue’s public filming app keeps your creative work in the app on your device. No DuoCue account is required.

Updated October 29, 2026

Scope

This policy covers the public DuoCue: Filming & Prompter app and its support website. The separate invitation-only DuoCue Beta service has different AI and account features and is not covered by this policy. The public app has no AI assistant, account sign-in, advertising SDK, or app-operated analytics service.

Scripts, questions and recordings

Scripts, formatting and prompting preferences, interview questions and host notes, shot lists, video and audio takes, and cue timestamps are stored in the app’s local storage. A recording can retain a snapshot of its script, including private host notes. DuoCue does not send this content to an app-operated server.

iOS may include app data in device backups according to your device settings. DuoCue does not provide its own cloud-sync service.

Camera, microphone and sharing

Camera access provides a preview and records video; microphone access records audio with a take. You can change these permissions in iPhone Settings.

Content leaves the app when you choose to share or export it, or include it in a support message. The destination you choose handles that copy under its own policies. Interview timestamp exports contain question text and cue events, not private host notes. This exclusion does not apply to the full script snapshot stored locally with the take.

Purchases through Apple

Apple processes subscription purchases, renewals, refunds and billing. DuoCue uses StoreKit product and verified transaction information to determine access to Duo Pro. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple may provide the developer with sales reports and app diagnostics through its services, subject to Apple’s policies and your settings.

Support messages and this website

If you email support, your email address, message and any attachments are received through our email provider and used to respond and troubleshoot. Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle requests and applicable obligations; you can request its deletion by contacting support.

These support pages contain no advertising, app-operated analytics, sign-in or upload form. The website hosting provider may process ordinary connection information needed to serve and secure the pages. External links and your email provider have their own privacy policies.

Deleting and keeping your data

Deleting a library script does not delete its recordings or their retained script snapshots. This version has no individual recording-delete control. To remove the app’s local data, use Delete App in iPhone Settings after exporting anything you wish to keep. Offload App keeps app data.

Removing the app does not cancel a subscription or erase files you exported or copies in backups. Manage those through Apple, your backup settings and the destinations you used. We cannot remotely retrieve or delete recordings that remain only on your device.
