Supported devices

The public DuoCue: Filming & Prompter app requires iPhone Duo running iOS 27.1 or later. The separate invitation-only DuoCue Beta may run on other iPhones; it is a different app with different features.

The outer guest display needs a supported device, full-screen use on the inner display, and an active camera session. If it is unavailable, Interview keeps the guest question on the host screen.

Start with your words

Write or import a script, then open Prompt to read it. Use Camera to plan shots and record a take. In Interview mode, add questions and private host notes, move between questions, and mark moments to retake.

Camera and microphone

Allow camera and microphone access when asked. If either was denied, open iPhone Settings, find DuoCue, and review its permissions. Recording needs free storage on your phone. The guest display is available only when the device and active camera session support it; the host screen keeps the question available when it is not.

Find and share a take

Open Tools → Recordings to review saved takes and use the share sheet to send a movie to Files, AirDrop, or another destination. Interview timestamps are shared separately as JSON. The timestamp file includes question text and cue events, but excludes private host notes.

After sharing, open the delivered file at its destination and check picture and sound before relying on the copy. Cancelling the share sheet does not deliver a file.

If a recording is interrupted

Reopen DuoCue and check Recordings for a recovered take. Interrupted video can be incomplete or unplayable; recovery cannot guarantee a finished movie. Keep the app and its data installed while you review or contact support.

Restore Duo Pro

Open Tools → Duo Pro and choose Restore purchases while signed into the Apple Account used for the purchase. An internet connection may be needed. If plans do not load, try Retry loading plans. Manage subscriptions opens Apple’s subscription controls.

Deleting DuoCue does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel or change it in Apple’s subscription settings.

Your saved work

Deleting a library script does not remove its recorded takes: a take keeps a copy of the words and notes used for that recording. This version has no individual recording-delete control. Export anything you want to keep before using Delete App in iPhone Settings; offloading the app retains its data. Device backups and exported copies are managed separately.

Tell us your app version, iOS version, and the steps that caused the problem. Please leave out passwords, payment details, private scripts, guest information, and recordings unless they are necessary and you choose to share them.
